The Thousand Murk March

What is it?

The Thousand Murk March is where hundreds of deviants come together and wear this avatar; in celebration of its many years of scaring deviantArts members. This is the third year we've held the event in a row; and we can only hope it will get bigger!
The word 'Meme' gets thrown around alot these days, and people forget that before Longcat and Fry Seeing What You Did took over this place; deviantArt had its own cluster of commonly used images called PLZ accounts. deviantArt has its own style and its own mythology; and as far as I'm concerned, all those well known characters of the forums fall under it. I may not be a PLZ account exactly, but my name and avatar get dropped into every Survival on a desert island, Zombie Apocalypse, If-you-had-to-resort-to-Cannibalism, Which-deviant-has-the-scariest-icon? and Who-has-the-scariest-fangirls? thread on the boards... Usually before I even get there!
So this event isn't about me shamelessly promoting myself - we're just contributing to something bigger. I'm just as eager to support Vernon's Get-Drunk-With-A-Wombat-Day or Gh-Mongos Get-A-Troll-Banned-Day when they happen.

What do I do?

Its simple, Murkies and Murklemen! When Halloween rolls around (and God help us, it will!), you wear the avatar! Thats it! No strings attached.
Of course Murk isn't one for boring parties, so expect plenty of creepy competitions, putrid prizes, at least one drinking game, and odd events to keep your Halloween weekend exciting. And with a face like mine attached, you just know you'll want to go scare some innocent bystanders!

What can I do to prepare?

Get people interested! The more people involved, the bigger the event!
Maybe make your own Murky avatar? This is an art site - get creative!

Everyone agreed it was alot of fun last year; so we here at Murk Enterprises will be working hard for you to make it the best one yet.
